Food Diaries

There are plenty of ways you can work to improve your health and drop that unwanted weight at home, even if it will be a while before you can take time off of work to visit one of the many fitness retreats in California.  Some of the ways of managing your nutrition are easier to incorporate into your life than others. One of the simplest ways to improve your diet is to start keeping a food diary of everything that you eat each day. This is a technique that many adult "fat camps" utilize. A diary will force you to be accountable for you actions — assuming you continue to write in it like you’re supposed to.  It can be easy to forget or let your life get in the way, but there are ways to improve your chances of making this work.

Make sure you record what you eat after you eat it. You’re more likely to forget if you leave it until the end of the day. Your diary doesn’t have to be on paper; if your computer or cell phone is easier for you to deal with, then why not make your diary a digital one? Don’t skip days on your food diary.  You can’t do it at fat boot camp so try and maintain that same level of discipline at home.
